Edwards is a mountain endurance athlete who competes in both ultra-mountain running and ski mountaineering. Edwards started skiing at age 2 and downhill raced until she was 18. Edwards then matriculated to the University of Louisville to play Division 1 Field Hockey before switching over to Cross Country and Track and Field during her sophomore year. Edwards moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming after college to begin her career as a mountain endurance athlete. Edwards’s achievements include competing in 2 World Ski Mountaineering Championships during her 5 years on the US Ski Mountaineering Team, a top 10 finish at UTMB CCC 100k 2015, 2nd place in UTMB TDS 120k, t, FKT female Grand Teton X2, the first women’s ski descent of Mount Owen NE hanging snowfields, along with notable other ski descents throughout the west.
